I Love DeKalb Schools Campaign
Overview
The I Love DeKalb Schools Campaign celebrates DeKalb County School District’s students, teachers, staff, and alums. During my time with Communications, I’m proud to say I was able to be a part of that put together this idea. As a product of DCSD, I took tremendous pride in playing my role as graphic designer in this campaign, as it shines a light on the positive stories of students and educators.
In designing the logo, my vision was to create a symbol representing passionate educators and the community. The heart represents the center and nucleus of DeKalb, as the schoolhouse symbolizes education. Without me knowing initially, the heart and schoolhouse combination resembles an apple–the universal symbol of educators.
Billboards District-wide
During the first phase of promoting the I Love DeKalb Schools campaign, seven billboards were installed across the district on each major highway and intersection.
